Resting last year's champion, Blaise Ferro, and heading into their first major nationally-recognized test as a team, the Colts did not disappoint as they blazed to a 16:40 team average and their fourth straight Bowdoin Classic title.
Led by Anzano's second-place finish in 16:24.79, the Colts took the top spot in the Varsity A race, besting runner-up Haddonfield Memorial by 40 points. The venue--Bowdoin Park in Wappinger Falls, NY--has for many years been the location of the NXN Regional Championships. A solid result this early bodes well for our Colts, who look to be in peak condition for their next trip up to the challenging NY course.
The Colts remain ranked as the #1 team in the nation as they gear up for the next major championship at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
