After a month-long delay, the CBA basketball team hits the hardwood this week to commence the 2021 season.
With games beginning the final week of January, Shore Conference teams will play approximately one month of regionalized play amid COVID-19 precautions.
Christian Brothers will play in a pod that includes Marlboro, Freehold Township, Freehold Boro, Middletown South and Manalapan.
The Colts will play two "out-of-pod" games against Hun School of Princeton and the Ranney School.
Senior Colin Farrell will lead CBA at the point guard spot, bringing his returning averages of 14.5 points, three assist, and 1.4 steals per game with him.
Two more returning starters include explosive wing senior Mike White and big man senior Dane Moran.
After losing just two seniors at the end of last year, CBA is primed to build on the momentum of last season.
In the local media, the Shore Sports Network ranked the Colts number four in the conference, while the Asbury Park Press had CBA at number five.
Fans are not permitted to attend, but all home games will be streamed via the CBA Digital Network on LetsGoColts.com and the ColtsCenter App, beginning with February 2 against Freehold Boro.
