The Christian Brothers Academy sailing team captured their first regatta victory of the new year, winning the Barnegat Bay Yacht Racing Association (BBYRA) Fall Invitational on October 17th.

The Colts bested 17 other teams in the 20-race series, using consistent finishes to separate from the pack.

Junior Ryan Ehnot and freshman Mitchell Hnatt tied for first in the A division, winning two races on the day.

Colin Guerrera '22, Connor Feury '22 and Andrew Chiles '23 finished second in the B Division. Guerrera and crew also won two races and never finished outside of the top four in any race.

As has been the tradition in the BBYRA for over 100 years, CBA was awarded the Rooster Flag for their regatta victory.

The BBYRA win came one week after a solid third place finish in the Fall Classic Regatta, which was the first event of the shortened season for CBA.

The Colts have three regattas remaining on the season, most notably the NJISA Fall Fleet Championship on October 31.
