As the month of September draws to a close, CBA Soccer is finding its groove.
After suffering a minor setback in a 1-0 loss to Marlboro on September 8, the Colts rattled off eight straight victories to complete the first month of play.
Six of those eight wins have come in shutout fashion, including the last three wins over Freehold Boro, Chaminade (NY) and Manalapan.
Perhaps the most impressive part of this win streak came during the middle of the month.
The Colts defeated defending state group champions Delran (2-0) and Gill St. Bernard (4-1) in consecutive games on September 16 and 18.
A pair of seniors have led the way so far, with Jack D'Eletto and Will Thygeson each scoring five times. Thygeson leads the team with 17 points, followed by junior Dylan Millevoi (13) and D'Eletto (11).
Christian Brothers has risen to number four in NJ.com's state-wide rankings thanks to this winning streak.
Five games remain in the regular season before the conference tournament starts, beginning with October 1's matchup with St. Anthony (NY).
