In a little less than two weeks, Christian Brothers Academy Indoor Track & Field brought home a trio of titles.
The Colts captured the Non-Public A State Relays, Monmouth County, and Shore Conference championships, continuing impressive winning streaks in each of those meets.
On January 14, CBA won the state relays championship by 22.5 points over second place Seton Hall Prep. It was the seventh consecutive victory and 30th all-time.
They won the Distance Medley Relay and 4x800 Meter Relay, while also finishing as the runner-up in the 4x55 Shuttle Hurdle Relay, 4x400 Meter Relay, and the Sprint Medley Relay.
CBA also had Ben Skrincosky win the pole vault and Tyler Mayerhoff win the shot put. Kam Coleman finished third in the high jump.
A week later, Christian Brothers was the winner at the Monmouth County Championship for the 12th straight time and 30th win overall. The Colts were 38 points better than second place Rumson-Fair Haven.
Coleman (55 meter hurdles), Jack Moran (1600 meter), and Robbie Manse (shot put) were the Colts' big winners at the county finals.
Skrincosky finished second in the pole vault, Matt Herman was second in the 800 meter, and Nick Sullivan took third in the 1600 meter. CBA also was second in the 4x400 Relay.
The Colts most recently won their 11th consecutive and 26th overall Shore Conference Championship on January 27.
This time around, Moran won the 800 meter, while Sullivan was first in the 3200 meter. Manse finished second in the shot put and Joe Barrett was third in the 3200 meter.
CBA will now look forward to the NJSIAA Group State Championships later in February.
