Jack Laffey '15, a CBA Basketball alum and current Adelphi University guard, was named the Northeast-10 Conference's Rookie of the Week.



In his first season at Adelphi, Laffey is averaging 8.1 points per game, including a 25-point outburst against Merrimack on January 23. He was a first team All-Shore player for the Colts last season, leading them to Non-Public A Sectional Championship.

Mansfield, Mass. - Freshman Jack Laffey of the Adelphi University men's basketball team has been named this week's Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week after his performance in two games last week.



Laffey averaged 13.0 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 52.9 percent from the field that included 50.0 shooting from beyond the arc in a 1-1 week for Adelphi (17-5/9-5 NE-10). The freshman shot 5-for-8 from the field towards 14 points in Saturday's win against Assumption.
