The Christian Brothers Academy Athletics Department honored its five fall varsity sports teams on Wednesday, November 16th in the CBA Theater.
Not surprisingly, CBA performed excellently in each of the five sports, winning state and conference championships, competing on the national stage and demonstrating the brotherhood that comes with being CBA athletes.
"I want to thank our incredible coaches, our parents, but most of all, our exceptional student-athletes," Director of Athletics Vito Chiaravalloti said. "I say often that the best part of my job is that everyday I get an opportunity to watch incredible young men do incredible things. Your selflessness and hard work inspire me to be better everyday."
The night gave due to the accomplishments of each team, while also presenting new letter winners their CBA varsity letter. Returning letter men received a commemorative item, acknowledging another year of varsity sport participation. Each team has the option to choose superlative awards, including a most valuable player and one or more coaches award honors, among others.
At CBA, some athletic teams are dual season sports, including three that were honored on Wednesday night in crew, rugby and sailing. All three of these teams will be back in action come March for their spring seasons and will hand out additional awards in May.
