Christian Brothers Academy cross country head coach Sean McCafferty has added two Coach of the Year honors to his resume this past week.

The National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) and the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) both selected CBA's head coach as their New Jersey Coach of the Year.

McCafferty led the Colts to another banner year in New Jersey, which led to the team's 10th straight appearance at the Nike Cross Nationals.

Christian Brothers won the Monmouth County, Shore Conference, Non-Public A State, and NJSIAA Meet of Champions titles in 2019. They also won the Bowdoin Classic in New York and finished second at the Nike Northeast Regional.

The fifth-year head coach took over for Tom Heath in 2015, winning the Meet of Champions in his first year. He has coached CBA as they have extended their dual meet win streak to a national-best 369 straight.
