CBA enjoyed a tremendous spring season, one that ended with the NJSIAA awarding Colts Athletics with their eighth ShopRite Cup for best non-public program last week.



CBA won two spring state championships in Outdoor Track and Sailing.


Showing the talent and depth CBA's spring teams had, the Colts filled the Asbury Park Press' All-Shore teams that were announced individually over the past week. (Note: These are only the selections by the APP sports writers.)


VOLLEYBALL

The CBA volleyball team advanced to the Shore Conference Tournament's final four for the second consecutive year. The program has seen great growth in the past few years, including the 2015 Shore Conference title, highlighted by the great play of the APP's All-Shore Selections. The Colts were ranked number four in the APP's final Shore rankings.

TENNIS

The CBA tennis team finished with a record of 20-2 this spring, advancing to the SCT finals and the finals of the Non-Public A South Sectional. They collected the A North Division title with the help of the three players selected for the APP All-Shore team.

Justin Pellegrino (Senior, Doubles)


OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD

Well-documented by now is the incredible season the outdoor track & field team had this season. The Colts were champions in their division, county, conference, sectional and state tournaments, while junior Drake Anzano won his event at the Meet of Champions. CBA finished this season with a trip to New Balance Nationals and earned the APP's top ranking.

LACROSSE

After the Shore Conference coaches named multiple Colts to their all-conference teams, three members of the CBA lacrosse team were chosen for the APP's All-Shore team. After capturing the conference's A North Division, the Colts were ranked number three in the Shore by the APP.

GOLF

The spring season saw the Colts golf team win their division title, Monmouth County Championship, Shore Conference Championship and the sectional title. The mighty talented team from seniors to freshmen was led by the three Colts picked for the APP's All-Shore team. CBA finished first in the APP's final Shore rankings.

BASEBALL

One of the greatest eras in CBA Baseball history concluded with the Colts' third-straight Shore Conference Championship this June. CBA won both the Monmouth County and Shore Conference Tournaments behind the play of the no-brainer selections by the APP. Both seniors were instrumental in all three SCT wins and last year's non-public state championship, and will reunite next year as North Carolina Tar Heels.
