Building on their already impressive season, the CBA fencing team secured the program's first-ever squad gold medal at the 2016 NJSIAA District 3 Finals on Sunday at Livingston High School.

The Epee trio of Tad Lundborg, Tom Gana and Ryan Hagan won the district championship in their division. Lundborg, the number one position fencer, was the top individual finisher in the Epee division. Gana finished in fourth place in Epee.

With their gold medal performance, the Epee trio will now advance to the NJSIAA State Squad Championships on February 20. Both Lundborg and Gana also qualify for the NJSIAA State Individual Championship on February 27.

The Colts finished tied for fourth in the overall standings.

CBA has two remaining regular season dual meets, both at home, against Moorestown Friends and Princeton, before the state championships.
