For the seventh consecutive year, the Christian Brothers Academy indoor track and field team won the Shore Conference Championship on Friday night in Toms River.

The Colts won the title with 72 points, 48 points better than second place Freehold Township. CBA took the top spot in two events: Tim Jacoutot with a school record in the 55m hurdles and the foursome of Nick Ebert, Kyle Foltz, Aidan O'Hara and Andrew Canale in the 4x400m relay.

"We had a great meet with 14 different guys scoring points for us," head coach Karl Torchia said. "The team really came together and competed really well."

Other top results for CBA included Brian Hill finishing second and Tim McInerney taking third in the 1600m, Andrew Canale placing third in the 400m, and fourth place finishes from Dan Mead (shot put), John Healy (pole vault) and Colton Brooks (55HH).

The victory is Christian Brothers' 22nd overall indoor conference championship.

The wins are piling up for the Colts this season, already capturing titles at the Monmouth County Relays, Monmouth County overall championships and the non-public state relay championships.

CBA will take part in multiple invitational meets over the next few weeks, leading up to the 2017 NJSIAA Non-Public State Championships on February 18th.
